Assessor
Job Posting for Assessor at Clark Community Mental Health Center
The Assessor will complete screenings and initial assessments and all accompanying paperwork for client’s entering in services. This will include establishing an initial diagnosis and referrals to services. This position will answer crisis calls during business hours. The Assessor will complete all accompanying paperwork for those clients presenting as a walk-in crisis between during open access hours. This person will work closely with all departments and will be an integral part of the team.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide assessment explaining necessity for the service using agency template- Work collaboratively with both the agency staff to ensure assessments are completed in a timely manner per program standards.
- Communicate effectively with all agency staff to ensure continuity of care in relation to treatment goals and interventions.
- Complete 0ther duties as required by the position and/or as assigned by the immediate supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications
Education - Minimum of a Master degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related health field. This position does require the candidate be a Master level Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).- Skills/Abilities- Effective oral and written communication. Provide sound diagnosis and assessment to guide treatment.
- Experience- QMHP as defined by State regulations.
Working conditions
General Conditions- Work is generally performed in office type settings where answering phone and using computers and other technology should be expected.
Physical requirements
General Conditions- Job duties may require sitting or standing for long periods of time. Minor lifting and moving may be expected requiring ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
