Clay County Missouri has an opportunity for someone with data entry skills who is organized and hospitable as Receptionist at the R. Kenneth Elliott Children's Justice Center. The Receptionist will answer and direct telephone calls and greet the public, providing information and direction. We are looking for someone proficient in MS Office applications, has knowledge of the rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation, letter and memoranda formats, and can maintain a calm composure throughout emotionally charged public interactions. Along with routing phone calls and greeting and directing visitors, this individual will obtain initial information from families, handle incoming and outgoing mail, and complete data entry to accurately close case files.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing, and able to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
The employee will receive an hourly salary of $17.01 - $19.02 with a benefits package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan fully funded by the County and a deferred-compensation plan with a match on the first 4% contributed. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
