Gift Production Associate Level 1 or 2 - Ballard Vaccinated & Dependable

Clayton Kendrick INC procures confection items, packages them in Gift Boxes, and sells them under the Black Tie Mercantile brand on Amazon.com. Our work environment is small. We have a staff of 12 at the moment and we are building a very strong, cohesive, dependable team as we adapt our business from a seasonal model to a continuous production model. Our production facility, located in Ballard, creates high quality grocery gift packages of specialty food in our trademarked Black Tie Box. We have an immediate opening for one part time (24-32 hours/ week) detail-oriented Production Quality Control Specialist Level 1 or 2 DOQ. The successful candidate will be an important team player in our small company.

Duties:

· Primary functions for this role will be running our packaging line and / or running our high speed bagging machines which produces 1 pound bagged units every 5-10 seconds

· Ensure that produced units match with label, description, online detail page, and contents

· Operate the computer database to prioritize production and to generate item label information

· Prepare raw materials to be bagged, boxed and turned into completed packaged units ready for shipment to fulfillment centers

· Determine optimal case pack configuration and number of units per case pack

· Palletize finished goods according to Quality Control Specifications

· Record quantity and palletization of units accurately in database

· Ensure the work area and equipment to be remain clean, orderly, safe, and in accordance to food safety regulations

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to lift 49 pounds; most of the days lifting is 30 pound cases

· This is an active position that requires standing, moving and lifting during the shift

· Due to the open environment of the production facility, there is temperature variance based on seasonality – winter to summer range is 60 – 75 degrees

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate for this position will have experience in an active, detail oriented manufacturing environment, such as a busy kitchen at a restaurant, or a similar environment where manufacturing processes / customer orders require accuracy and timeliness. You may be looking at a manufacturing career or you may have other professional aspirations and seeking employment at a small, team oriented company. Your primary goal working for CK INC is to insure that customers will be pleased with their gift when they receive it. This full time position is 40 hours per week (with some flexibility to as few as 32 hours for the right candidate if necessary). The nature of our production environment is not strenuous, yet it is suited for a candidate who prefers to be active, work on your feet, rather than stationary during their workday. The activity level is enjoyable to our current core staff. Our team works the core hours of 7am-3:30pm weekdays. This position will likely be 40 hours a week yet we can accommodate someone who desires to work as little as 30 hours per week.
