What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance planner position at Clean Harbors?
As a Central Maintenance Planner, you will be accountable for all outsourced third-party breakdown repair orders daily. You will coordinate response to all breakdown events in accordance with vendor availability and capability to minimize maintenance delays and maximize asset availability.

Key Responsibilities :
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Receive all incoming Fleet Maintenance related calls, including driver breakdowns;
- Coordinate response to vehicle breakdowns by utilizing our nationwide network of preferred service providers;
- Manage all third-party repair orders for our National Account Breakdown Service providers;
- Review all quotes received while on shift and identify areas where repair cost can be reduced / eliminated;
- Identify rework scenarios where repairs should be denied and or be covered under warranty;
- Identify repairs that should be covered under OEM or aftermarket parts suppliers’ warranty;
- Coordinate with third party vendors to collect quotes, invoices and preventative maintenance forms;
- Create purchase orders for third-party breakdown repairs.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 1 years of transportation coordination experience required;
- 1 year of Customer Service experience required;
- Call center experience preferred;
- Ability to create actionable items out of data and information;
- Strategic planning, coupled with tactical execution;
- Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, MS project
