As our Quality Manager, you'll dive into a realm where precision and speed intersect. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet and exceed rigorous military standards. With expertise in optical fabrication and system integration and a knack for managing teams, you'll thrive in our customer-centric, agile organization.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with customers to understand and fulfill technical requirements while ensuring compliance with government (DoD) quality standards.
- Managing and maintaining industry-leading quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 Rev. D, serving as our Quality Management Systems expert.
- Leading corrective action initiatives and conducting internal audits to drive continuous improvement.
- Managing a team of 5 that oversees inspection, testing, and resolution of non-conforming products to maintain our commitment to excellence.
- Working closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and customer support teams to address quality issues swiftly and effectively.
- Developing and implementing statistical tools and manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and reliability.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, coupled with 10 years of quality engineering experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for summarizing and documenting work effectively.
- A commitment to helping our organization follow process and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a drive for continual improvement.
- Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager or Engineer is preferred, along with experience in defense-related quality standards.
- US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
