Job Description Summary
The Energy Technician II will install energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory.• Installation of energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown),
caulking, light bulbs, shower heads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters
• Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors
• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks
• Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines
• Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe
• Assist with customer site job set up and tear down
Job Description
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in the residential construction industry is preferred. Will train the right candidate for the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
- Record and report to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, regarding installation in accordance with client specifications
- Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
- Travel throughout a defined territory
