To join our team as an Energy Technician III. As an Energy Technician, is responsible for managing the delivery of energy efficiency tasks which will include the installation of energy efficiency upgrades, related services, and inspections. This position will be responsible for a crew of 2-6 installers. This individual will be expected to explain the energy saving measures installed, as well as to educate customers on their operation. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the scope of work is properly executed in a safe and timely fashion while always maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and customers. This individual will also serve as a mentor to Technicians and be a liaison between the crew and management while providing a high level of customer service and education.

- Implement scope of work which could include all or parts of the following technician tasks: Identify and report potential combustible safety hazards, install roof penetrations and weatherproofing, rough in mechanical ventilation systems, assist with mechanical systems upgrades, install air sealing measures, install or repair vapor retarders, install insulation, install windows and doors, install baseload measures, identify and report deviations from scope of work, clean all debris and work materials from the job site.
- Conduct pre-job planning and safety site assessment prior to the start of the job/project.
- Provide an effective plan to execute the scope of work, and oversight of the installation crew while work is being performed.
- Identify additional opportunities for energy savings and additional energy efficiency measures as appropriate.
- Provide customer with education regarding the potential impacts of the recommended energy efficiency measures prior to the work being performed.
- Perform diagnostic testing, install program measures, and perform minor repairs as appropriate by program.
- Manage job site set-up and clean-up. Treat customer property with the utmost respect, ensuring spaces are left in the same or better condition as they were found.
- Troubleshoot and work to resolve issues that may arise during scheduled customer appointments.
- Finalize job by performing daily QA/QC inspection in compliance with program standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- 2-4 years of construction or industry experience.
- Must be able to work well independently and be able to direct a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in speech and writing, with customers, staff, managers, supervisors and contractors.
- Ability to mentor multiple employees with various skills to continually improve their knowledge and ability to deliver energy conservation measures

Compensation Range:
$24.00 - $27.00 / hour USD
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
