The role of a Bookkeeper at Clearfork Academy is to oversee the organization’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate ledgers on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial entries and reconciliations. The Bookkeeper is expected to perform accounting tasks such as financial reporting, general ledger entries, record payments and adjustments, as well as budget monitoring or other related general accounting processes.
· Maintain financial records and databases ensuring that they are accurate and up to date.
· Continually seek out opportunities to build and develop core financing data and process.
· Collects fees or revenues, disburses payments and posts to appropriate accounts.
· Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner and submit payroll taxes.
· Prepares weekly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
· Compile and prepare standard accounting reports.
· Develops expense reporting process and ensures full departmental execution.
· Develops departmental budgets in conjunction with the COO and ensures full departmental execution and maintenance.
· Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
· Provides information or interpretation to third parties such as banks, auditors, vendors, and governmental entities.
· Oversee account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition and maintenance.
· Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
· Develop and implement purchasing throughout all departments.
· Work in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources for overtime prevention monitoring.
· Work closely with Billing Manager and the Leadership Team to achieve company goals.
· Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study (preferred)
1 to 3 years work experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
Current CPR/FA certification (upon hire)
Current Handle with Care Physical Holding Certification (upon hire)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
