HVACR Product Tester / Innovator

Our client, a leader in the HVACR tools and instruments industry, is hiring an Application Tester with HVACR technician experience to join the R&D team!  This is a unique role for an HVACR technician that has worked in the field to help design, test, and build the next generation of HVACR tools.  Essentially, you’re the Subject Matter Expert (SME) as you’ve worked in the field and can provide valuable insight on product development and ensure it works properly in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the SME – Subject Matter Expert – to create, update, test and re-engineer Fieldpiece products.
• Work closely with engineering and other teams to provide input into the design, function, and usability of products.
• Help build prototypes and provide solutions to problems and challenges to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Test products in the office and in the field.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s, associate, or technical degree from an accredited HVACR trade school.
• 3 years of HVACR experience in the field using tools and instruments.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to help design products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities with individuals at all levels within the organization to share ideas and deliver engaging presentations.
• Testing and problem-solving experience with a strong commitment to excellence.
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player and excited to work in a dynamic workplace.
• Solid project planning and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

The California pay range for this role is currently $50-60/hr plus bonus.  Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
