Summary:
Our client within the Oil & Gas industry is seeking a Senior level Allocations Analyst versed in the Avocet O&G production tool to maintain, oversee, and report the production of oil and gas within assigned areas. Candidate will participate within a multidisciplinary team focused on a collaborative approach to production, data management, and process improvement. In this role you will be responsible for reporting “allocation analysis” production to all stakeholders such as the company assets teams, JV partners, Federal and State agencies, and will work closely with field personnel. The primary interfaces of this specific role are within the “Production Accounting” team to ensure accurate allocations and the GHG team to accurately assess “greenhouse gas” capture and report emissions data. Remote Monday and Friday work from home, must be onsite in the Houston corporate office Tuesday-Thursday.
Duties:
- Analyzes, corrects, and reports daily and monthly volume allocations within the Avocet program.
- Provides accurate and timely accruals and close volumes to revenue accounting assessment.
- Sets up the gathering systems for new wells and equipment in Avocet program.
- Maintains relationships with field operators, foreman, and superintendents in the use of Avocet, and Field Operator data entry.
- Reconciles volume variances between allocated volumes, estimated daily volumes, and purchaser statements using Avocet and Spotfire.
- Prepares, and compiles Avocet data analysis and files state and federal production reports.
- Organizes, enters, and reconciles crude oil and water tickets to 3rd party statements.
- Investigates differences between gas purchasing statements to production volumes and check meters.
- Works with various teams to ensure and provide additional data that all daily and monthly allocations are accurate down to the well level.
- Processes PPA’s when necessary and becomes proficient in and understands field equipment and process flows.
- Maintains all active equipment flow in the field to capture emissions.
- Monitors and resolves compliance issues associated with production audits, third party audits, GHG audits or Regulatory audits.
- Prepares partner reports of monthly reporting and maintains of internal SOX controls with assigned level of responsibility.
- Participates in special projects related to Production Accounting and participates in system upgrades and testing.
Requirements:
- Required 8 years of Oil and Gas Industry in an Allocation Analyst or Production Accounting role.
- Minimum of 3 years of Oil and Gas production accounting and regulatory reporting experience.
- Versed in Avocet and a solid understanding of production accounting, including allocation methods and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of field data capture and process flows, and the ability to analyze data and reach own conclusions.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations with pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
- Must possess good organizational, verbal, and communications skills.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy.
- Must be team player that possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment.
Education:
- Bachelors in related field such as Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Technology is desired.
