The Health Services Assistant supports the Health Services Director in promoting optimal care for residents in accordance with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Health Services Assistant will ensure residents receive the highest quality care in order to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible while maintaining the physical and emotional health of residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management, scheduling, evaluation, training and directing the Health Services Department
- At the direction of the Health Services Director, may review, hire, schedule and supervise Health Service team members and assist with new hire orientation in accordance with company policy
- Responsible for the safety and health of residents ensuring that all governing regulations and community policies and procedures regarding resident car and closely monitored and executed and that all physician orders are carried out according to instructions
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and all company policies and procedures concerning the department
- Assist in training documenting and overseeing the continuing education of Health Services team members in the proper delivery of medications to residents, emergency procedures, documentation, ensuring all care staff complete all state and federal required training
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- LVN, Caregiver, Med Tech or Medical Assistant license preferred
- A minimum of one year of work experience in senior living, hospitality or in related field preferred
- Current First Aid Certification a plus
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Must meet health requirements, including TB
- Available Tuesday-SaturdayPay Scale: $23-$25/hour (DOE)
