Position Overview:

 As a working Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of our Accounts Payable operations. Leading by example, you'll supervise our team while actively participating in day-to-day tasks. Your proactive approach and expert guidance will ensure the smooth processing of invoices, efficient vendor management, and accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our month-end close procedures while continuously improving controls and processes across the function and the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, actively participating in the daily workflow to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Personally handle complex invoices and vendor inquiries, demonstrating best practices and providing guidance to team members.
• Prepare accruals and reconcile accounts for month-end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee vendor information management, validating and updating data to maintain integrity and adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies, fostering strong relationships.
• Work closely with IT and system vendors to address technical issues and contribute to system improvements.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, leveraging your attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
• Support external financial audits by providing documentation and assistance as needed, meeting strict deadlines.
• Lead by example in a hybrid in-office/virtual team environment, promoting collaboration and productivity.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required, maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in accounts payable.
• Five years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with integrated accounting/reporting systems; familiarity with Workday and Ascend systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage processes and data efficiently.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
