The AMI Supervisor is a senior level professional with broad and substantive experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) principles, practices, concepts, and theories. Achieves results by developing AMI-related procedures and taking action based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. Assists in the development of strategic and operational AMI plans and ensures alignment with corporate and organizational strategy. Serves as a mentor for, and provides day-to-day guidance to technical and non-technical employees within AMI Operations responsibilities. Key Responsibilities - Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence. - Responsible for working with Customer Billing, Distribution Operations, Telecom and others to ensure the AMI system operates at a level to support Meter-to-Cash and Customer Satisfaction performance metrics (e.g. target daily meter read success %, target daily remote connect/disconnect success %, target outage reporting %) - Responsible for testing efforts related to AMI Head End System patches/upgrades, new AMI hardware, endpoint firmware upgrades and integrated system upgrades such as MDMS, ADMS and SAP - Utilizes AMI data to support Distribution Operations, Distribution Engineering, Marketing, Metering, Customer Billing, Customer Service, or any other stakeholders in investigating meter-related events captured by the AMI system - Directly engages AMI system vendor for operational support needs and issue resolution - Actively participates in industry AMI association(s) to represent Cleco’s interests and remain current with respect to best practices, technology and safety related to AMI - Recognizes opportunities to utilize AMI data/functionality to improve existing business processes or address new business needs - Identifies AMI-related opportunities to add business value and leads execution of initiatives - Provide team members with individual and group development opportunities including training, performance planning, feedback, and appraisals and general performance management. - Ensures quality performance and department integrity by supervising personnel, work processes, budgeting, and cost control for all functions executed by the AMI department. - Functions as a team member assisting peers and subordinates providing training and sharing knowledge to accomplish common goals. - Achieves high quality results including accuracy and timeliness to meet internal and external customer’s needs. - In depth knowledge of SAP, HES, and meter hardware.
