Busy public office is seeking a Jr. Human Resources Generalist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department. The Jr. HR Generalist will provide support in the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience in the field of Human Resources along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. These traits are critical to this role as well as having a high level of customer service when interacting with employees at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support all functions and processes related to on-boarding and off-boarding of employees including, but not limited to: employment verifications, new hire orientations, exit interviews, etc.
• Respond to reference checks, verifications of employment and unemployment claims.
• Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Maintain employee confidence and protect HR operations by keeping HR information confidential.
• Assist HR Department with various projects as needed.
• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition program.
• Assist in maintain integrity of I-9 verification process and conduct I-9 audits.
• Oversee the filing of employee records and creating new hire files.
• Provide support in developing, implementing and reviewing human resources functions.
