Jr. Human Resources Generalist
Busy public office is seeking a Jr. Human Resources Generalist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department. The Jr. HR Generalist will provide support in the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience in the field of Human Resources along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. These traits are critical to this role as well as having a high level of customer service when interacting with employees at all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all functions and processes related to on-boarding and off-boarding of employees including, but not limited to: employment verifications, new hire orientations, exit interviews, etc.
Respond to reference checks, verifications of employment and unemployment claims.
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Maintain employee confidence and protect HR operations by keeping HR information confidential.
Assist HR Department with various projects as needed.
Maintains and coordinates employee recognition program.
Assist in maintain integrity of I-9 verification process and conduct I-9 audits.
Oversee the filing of employee records and creating new hire files.
Provide support in developing, implementing and reviewing human resources functions.
