AVAILABLE POSITION: Quality Assurance Coordinator
255 days per year
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Superintendent
As the Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will serve as the quality assurance and compliance
representative for the agency.
You will be responsible to:
- coordinate, track, and process reports and trends regarding compliance activities.
- coordinate the agency’s preparedness for DODD accreditation, conduct and oversee internal
audits, compile reports on the results of audits, and present these reports to the relevant
supervisors and department heads.
- Assist individual departments in preparing for audits.
- Recommend and support implementation of changes to address procedures and practices
that are not compliant.
- Coordinate with leadership and managers to collaboratively conduct risk assessments.
- Identify gaps and make recommendations for changes to improve policies, procedures, audit
tools, and operations.
- Provide ongoing assessment of county board services to ensure quality and compliance with
DODD Accreditation standards.
- Create a sample monthly from the caseloads of SSA's. The QA Coordinator audits each file
from the sample using the County Board Accreditation Review Tool and ensures that each
section of the plan conforms to the Waiver Rules.
- Ensure that reviewed plans meet Rule and that goods and services are provided as intended
and within acceptable timelines in a safe manner. When deficits are found to be non-
conforming to the Rule, the QA Coordinator meets with SSA to review the findings and identify
correction areas. The SSA then is expected to revise the plan and bring the plan into
compliance. All documents reviewed are audited to ensure they meet Medicaid Waiver Rules
and Standards.
- Report trends and patterns, training needs, and performance issues to directors and the
superintendent. The outcome of this action is to improve waiver services provided to
Individuals served.
- Coordinate the Agency’s compliance of the Records Retention Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of bachelor’s degree required. 4 years of experience in Developmental
Disabilities, Mental Health, or other related social service position preferred. Experience
Medicaid/Medicare related programs and waivers. Valid driver’s license with less than 6 points.
Acquire/maintain SSA Certification. Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background
check, Abuser Registry check, Nursing Registry check, other registry checks as required by Statute,
and pre-employment/post-offer physical exam and drug screen.
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
