Job Posting for Manufacturing Planning Planner at Cleveland Cliffs
Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Planner to schedule the Casters and Hot Mill at our Indiana Harbor facility located in East Chicago, IN. This position is responsible for scheduling the casters and hot mill units and will resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Schedule the casters and hot mill units at our Indiana Harbor operation.
- Resolve scheduling issues with operations management.
- Participate in and support delivery initiatives and improvements.
- Work with Primary Planner to ensure schedules are built according to the weekly plan.
- Work with commercial to ensure schedules meet customer requirements.
- Position will be on call after normal business hours, holidays, and weekends to support scheduling changes as needed by operations or planning.
- Participate in training activities as needed.
- Available to work weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking.
- Possess strong attention to detail.
- Be reasonably proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Production scheduling experience or experience in activities that have supported the scheduling activity.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Operations
