Responsibilities:
- Conducts research and testing where appropriate, in order to articulate direction and trends of new and emerging technologies, systems and applications.
- Provides input to the Network Services Strategic Plan along with impact and benefit analysis of new systems, applications and technologies to our core business.
- Participates in vendor presentations. Acts as the focal point for enterprise voice or video or Network Management and applications regarding the infrastructure and services, technology trends and corporate direction.
- Interacts with other Technology leadership and client leadership to provide counsel on technology; how it supports our business and any risks that may result from a technology decision.
- Develops standards for device configurations and the operating environments for those resources; develops standards for technology within a facility and provides guidance for training and skills paths for junior engineers.
- Responsibilities include the documentation and communication of voice or video, applications and Network standards, policies and procedures; ensures testing and validating new releases of voice or video or application and network device software is performed before implementation into production and validation of the voice or video, systems, application and network disaster recovery plan.
- Communicates goals and objectives with the technical teams, assists in the development of strategic and tactical business plans related to voice or video or systems, applications and data network services and infrastructure.
- Assists in the development of the annual department budget, provides input into staff APR.
- Produces management reports and conducts presentations concerning resources, team, equipment and service performance metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Certifications:
- Advanced IT Technical Certification (i.e. CCIE, RCDD, Etc.) is preferred.
For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.
Complexity of Work:
- Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Work Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED: A minimum 10 years of related experience in a large multi-systems environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree: A minimum 7 years of related experience in a large multi-systems environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- In some locations, ability to move up to 75 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
As a Lead Video Designer Engineer, you will:
• Oversee research, designs, standards, policies and procedures of the enterprise’s voice, video or data services, infrastructure, systems and applications.
• Handle strategic technical research, engineering and design, analysis, corporate standards and change control.
• Assist with staff management in work distribution and accountability.
• Lead a team of Engineers and Analysts accountable for consultation, planning, forecasting, justification, implementation and support.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $40.48
Maximum hourly: $61.74
