Animator/Designer, Digital Content

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide support conceptualizing, designing, and editing graphics, animations and videos for the Guardians organization. With passionate focus on teamwork, attention to detail and creativity, this person will work cross-functionally to create animations, graphics and videos for multiple departments within the organization, including but not limited to Brand, Corporate Partnerships, Social and Live Experience. Opportunity to produce content for multiple digital platforms including website, mobile, social media, digital signage and scoreboard.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:

Content Creation

• Create content for multiple digital platforms: website, mobile, social media and scoreboard.
• Content includes graphics, photos, animations and promotional visual content for the Guardians website, scoreboard and all Guardians social media channels.
• Assist with content creation for in-game entertainment by creating videos, graphics and animations
• Assist with organization of animation and design element files
• Support the production team with animation and graphics as needed
• Contribute original and fresh ideas during brainstorming sessions

Social Media

• Act as primary content creator for Guardians social media accounts
• Provide support and collaborate with the Communications and Player Relations team to create and produce engaging, compelling content for social media
• Assist with trafficking all social media animations, graphics and videos
• Capitalize on trending topics by creating quick turn animations, graphics or videos
• Gather assets (original and stock), including images and video, to be used by the production team
• Provide support and assist with creating variations of content for each Guardians social media sister accounts
• Ensure social content aligns with Guardians social media voice and Brand story

Corporate Partnerships

• Provide support and collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships sales and service team to conceptualize, create and produce engaging content for gamedays and social media
• Assist and provide support for partner gameday content creation, including digital advertisements for main scoreboard, ribbon board and in-house TVs.
• Assist manager to ensure correct partner content is loaded and ready for each game
• Provide support for partner pitch meetings
• Ensure corporate partnership content meets Guardians Brand Guidelines

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Motion Design, Graphic Design or related field – or equivalent professional experience
• Skills related to video editing, animations
• Experience in animation and design for social media
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in Cinema 4D or other 3D rending software
• Some knowledge of scoreboard control systems including Daktronics and Ross a plus
• Some experience in in-game sports entertainment is a plus
• Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, self-starter and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
• Knowledge of baseball rules and understanding of baseball scoring
• Awareness of popular culture and trending topics

• Available to work extended hours annually, especially during season for all home games as dictated by job responsibilities and workload
