What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at CLEVELAND METROPARKS?
The Dishwasher person is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. The incumbent also maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine.
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
- Changes dishwater in dish machine on routine basis.
- Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Removes trash and garbage to dumpster.
- Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area.
- Performs other duties related to cleanliness of kitchen as assigned.
- Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assist in private events on and off site.
- Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes.
- Performs related duties and assigned or apparent.
