In partnership with team members, the EHR Specialist will interact with the staff at supported agencies to configure, troubleshoot, implement and support the use of the EHR application, CareLogic. EHR Specialist is responsible for the timely response and resolution of tier 2 EHR help desk tickets, including running queries in SQL. EHR Specialist will be the liaison between Qualifacts Support and the agencies supported to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the EHR. Additionally, the EHR Specialist will work collaboratively with the billing, compliance, and quality analytics and research teams to ensure any updates to the system are tested and communicated in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designated as an EHR system administrator and required to attain CareLogic system administrator certification. Serves as the HIE administrator for the CONNie platform.
Support the Billing Team in the backend set up of the billing system to ensure accurate and efficient revenue cycle management. Collaborate with the Billing Team to set up and optimize the billing system for accurate and efficient revenue cycle management, aligned with billing requirements and regulatory standards.
Implement clinical and billing workflows within EHR and patient portal.
Provide basic new hire training in the EHR to ensure end users understand the basic functions and navigation of the system. Maintain and update EHR to reflect program and reporting needs, including set up of documentation, activities, and billing.
Analyze and review EHR and patient portal to develop system fields and modules that meet clinical care and regulatory requirements.
Provide on site support to staff in utilization of EHR and patient portal
Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve technical support issues in EHR help desk in order to provide prompt and courteous support to end users.
Test software enhancements and functionality in order to ensure a seamless end-user experience upon release.
Maintain relationship with EHR vendor to communicate about system issues and proposed enhancements, attending monthly System Administrator Partnership meetings
Protect the security of client protected health information by monitoring user rights and security settings.
Provide any other needed support for the mission of Clifford Beers Health Partners.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Behavioral health or related field from accredited college or university preferred
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in database configuration and maintenance, Electronic health record systems, technical support, technical writing, and implementation
Experience working in behavioral health settings with knowledge of clinical services, administrative operations, data & evaluation, business intelligence/report builder, software preferred
Knowledge of billing systems and back end set up.
Experience with CareLogic a plus
Experience writing queries in SQL (utilization of Pentaho a plus)
SKILLS:
Proven ability in developing end-user training materials. Demonstrated mastery of current workplace and health care - e.g., EHR – technology
Proven ability in complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Exceptional accuracy
Pentaho or Crystal Reports and/or PL/SQL knowledge
Experienced using Windows and Google suite of products
REQUIREMENTS:
