What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at Climeworks?
- Your mission at Climeworks is to operate and maintain the Orca & Mammoth DAC plants. Focus on OKR-oriented and sustainable improvements to ensure plant availability, meet CO2/CDR production goals, and contribute to achieving the Climeworks Vision.
- You maintain safe and compliant plant operation (safety culture without compromises).
- You drive and report maintenance KPIs and costs.
- You plan and develop calibration and maintenance regimes for mechanical & rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation, electrical & control systems equipment for the Orca & Mammoth Plants.
- You execute and report planned and unplanned maintenance activities of the Orca & Mammoth Plants on mechanical & rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation, electrical & control systems equipment.
- You maintain required processes and tools.
- You hold a bachelors degree or its equivalent in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- You have a minimum of 12 years of work experience in operation and maintenance within the process engineering industry.
- Your background should demonstrate experience in operating and maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation, as well as electrical and control system equipment.
- Your expertise should extend to ramp-up and commercial plant operation and maintenance, including plant improvement initiatives.
- You have proven work experience in a scale-up and/or first-of-its-kind environment.
- You have detailed technical knowledge and your capabilities should cover mechanical and rotating equipment, piping, process instrumentation, control equipment (valves, etc.), electrical, and DCS systems.
- You must have a proven, multi-year track record in plant operation and maintenance within the power, process, mining, refining, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Your experience should include the implementation and operation of CMMS in the process engineering industry.
- You are expected to be driven to achieve unprecedented performance in a scale-up venture.
- You should be a strong coordinator, communicator, and collaborator.
- You are characterized by continuous, persistent, and sustainable improvement.
- You are naturally inclined towards structures, processes, and tools.
- Your work style should be key performance indicator driven.
- You are business fluent in English.
- You are willing to travel up to 40%.
