Clinica La Familia is looking for Bilingual (English & Spanish) Back Office/Medical Assistant.
Full Job Description:
· Assists physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
· Adheres to Confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines as required.
· Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory test: Urinalysis, pregnancy test, etc.
· Administer medications as directed by a physician
· Restocking exam/procedure rooms as needed.
· Maintain an organized and clean work area based on state health laws and the guidelines of our medical organization
· Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
· Collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians/nurses with various procedures
· Relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls and providing pertinent information.
· Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, etc.
