Ambulatory Surgical Services Nursing Manager

Averaging over 500 procedures per month, this 5 OR Outpatient Perioperative program is very busy. This busy department and it’s 50 FTEs has been recognized as high performing in a large number of procedures. This has been possible through an alignment of tenured and experienced staff, a well-tenured and dedicated Surgical Services Nurse Director, and a labor environment that employs a shared governance model to optimize performance and outcomes simultaneously.

Reporting to the RN Administrative Nurse Director of Perioperative Services, the Ambulatory Surgical Services Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, and to a growing degree, the strategic direction of the Same-Day Surgery Unit and Procedures. This position will work in collaboration with a tenured and efficient CPAN Certified Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse, and a CNOR Inpatient RN Manager to manage a large case load.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Outpatient OR Leader with experience leading clinical teams, to develop administrative management skills as well. The Ambulatory Surgical Services Nursing Manager will lead operations for a 5 OR unit that offers a diverse range of surgical procedures, from Ortho and Ophthalmology, to Total Joint and ENT. Working in the unit is a fantastic team of Scrub and Circulating RNs, who have fast-paced outpatient experience.
