A top acute care hospital near Valdosta, GA is seeking an Assistant Director Inpatient Lab. This role will oversee a 150 bed facility and reports directly to the Director of Lab. 

The Assistant Director Inpatient Lab will oversee the test dictionary within the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and ensure adherence to CAP standards in the general laboratory section. Responsibilities include managing rotating on-call duties, maintaining chain of custody for drug screens, ensuring equipment functionality, overseeing supplies, and contributing to competency assessment programs and performance improvement initiatives.

What will make you stand out:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Technology or related field preferred
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with a preference for hospital experience.
  • Preferred: Certification as a Medical Technologist.
