Position Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
Management of Operations:
- Collaborate with other Clinical Coordinators, Nursing Professional Development, and Nurse Managers to support seamless shift operations.
- Help develop and maintain nursing and departmental standards in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and goals.
- Promote open and honest communication within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices and implement them to improve clinical care.
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations and delegate tasks accordingly.
- Serve as a resource for departmental standards of care and policies.
Management of Personnel:
- Provide leadership and support for daily operational requirements.
- Develop operational policies and procedures.
- Foster an environment that encourages staff participation and growth.
- Assign staffing based on patient needs and adjust as necessary.
- Manage patient flow and collaborate with other departments for continuity of care.
- Address patient and staff complaints in a timely manner.
- Implement effective human resources management strategies.
Staff Education:
- Provide ongoing feedback and education to improve documentation practices.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the department's budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
Collegiality/Professionalism:
- Ensure patients feel comfortable and safe during their interactions with our staff.
- Exhibit professionalism in all patient interactions.
- Take personal responsibility for each patient and staff interaction.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Be flexible and adaptable to meet patient and departmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must:
- Demonstrate nursing competence as an expert-level practitioner.
- Be currently registered by the Board of Registration in Nursing of New York.
- Preferably have ACLS certification, or be willing to obtain it within 6 months of starting.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience (preferred).
- Have previous nursing management experience (preferred).
- Hold a Diploma in Nursing (required) or an Associate Degree/Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Possess excellent problem-solving, mentorship, time management, and priority-setting skills.
- Be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
