An established critical access hospital located in the northern Maine region is currently searching for an experienced Clinical Informatics Specialist RN to join their award-winning healthcare organization.
This 25-bed full-service critical access hospital provides a wide variety of acute care services to the surrounding communities. This system provides world-class inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and emergency services. This organization is built on quality and strives to provide a safe environment that is conducive to patient healing and overall customer satisfaction.
Working under limited supervision, the Clinical Informatics Specialist RN will coordinate and lead the changes to the hospitals Health Information Systems, including Evident, Athena, and MEDHOST EDIS. The Clinical Informatics Specialist RN will assist with the applicant support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution within the electronic Health Information Systems. The Clinical Informatics Specialist RN will ensure that clinical practice integrates with acuity configurations, documents real-time data points and operations processes, supports and effective patient-centered flow, performs provider and staff trainings, and collaborates with various system leaders.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing BSN required, or equivalent experience in Pharmacy, Nursing, or Medicine.
- Certified in Clinical Informatics preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of prior Health Information Systems required.
