Responsibilities of the Program Manager Infection Control RN include planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the Infection prevention and Infection control Program currently being offered at this medical center and the surrounding satellite facilities, initiate epidemiological investigations of unusual clusters or high rates of infection, continue ongoing performance improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control, identify new processes and procedures to reduce or eliminate infections, educate clinical and non-clinical staff on best practices or techniques related to infection, maintain state and regulatory compliance, and update policy procedures. The Program manager Infection Control will Co-Chair the Infection Prevention and Control Committee, and work closely with the Medical Staff, Administration, Employee Health Services, System-Wide Infection Control Director, and Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The Program Manager Infection Control RN will hold their Bachelor's degree with a clinical background overseeing, managing, or working in Infection Prevention and Infection Control department for an acute care hospital. Ideally the Program Manager Infection Control will hold their CIC certification and RN license with prior experience working as an Infection Preventionist or Infection Control Practitioner.
Since the hospital is located on the eastern edge of Pennsylvania, the Program Manager Infection Control RN can reside and commute from the suburbs of Pennsylvania or Ohio.
