A 300 bed Central California Medical Center is seeking an.
The Director Emergency Preparedness & Safety will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Emergency Preparedness Director will coordinate the development, implementation and assist with the maintenance of a hospital wide, comprehensive, all hazards emergency management program to prepare for and direct the actions of the hospital community in the event of an emergency. Manage and coordinate all-hazards emergency management training for hospital staff.
The Director of Safety and Emergency Management will oversee all survey readiness through compliance with regulatory agencies: OSHA, EPA, TTJC, CMS, NFPA, CMS, JACHO. Responsible for operational performance, quality, service environment and regulatory compliance. The Emergency Preparedness Director will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the safety and emergency management programs. Serves as operational manager of the Regional Safety and Preparedness Program through coordination of individual and committee efforts and informs administration and governing body of important safety, emergency and preparedness issues.
The Emergency Preparedness Director will oversee programs for training include, but are not limited to: ICS training, Emergency Operations Plan training, and digital preparedness solutions training.
The Director of Safety and Emergency Management will be responsible for conducting environmental safety rounding and staff training for various programs, equipment and emergency evacuation training, fire drills, and readiness drills.
