We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to join our team at a leading Critical Access Hospital located in Southern Arizona. As a Physician in our facility, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. In this position, you will initially receive a guaranteed salary of $300,000 for the first year, with the compensation transitioning to an RVU-based model from the second year onwards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, including medication prescriptions, therapies, and referrals to specialists, as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in medical knowledge, treatment options, and healthcare regulations to provide the best possible care.
  • Participate in regular meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management programs, and accreditation processes within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in a relevant specialty.
  • Board certification or eligibility in the appropriate medical specialty.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in providing acute care services.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to embrace a transition to RVU-based compensation from the second year onwards.
