The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will join the family of dedicated nurses and other health care professionals living out a mission to heal people in body, mind and spirit. The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will be responsible for designing, implementing, conducting, and overseeing the internal audit work plan across the organization. The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will proactively monitor and audit to test and confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and the organization's policies.
The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will prepare detailed work papers in accordance with established audit guidelines for areas of billing, operations, IT, privacy, compliance and other areas as identified. The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will report audit findings or activities to the Hospital Board of Directors' Compliance Internal Audit committee.
The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will assess, analyze and recommend process changes to support a strong corporate compliance program. The Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor will perform follow up audit/monitoring activities to determine whether recommendations and corrective action plans have been implemented while supporting continuous auditing and monitoring of identified compliance risks.
The ideal candidate for Hospital Compliance and Internal Auditor should have Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration/ IT, public health law with 5 years healthcare administration compliance with 2 years of experience in healthcare auditing in a hospital or medical group setting. Familiarity with healthcare laws, CMS regulations, IIA standards, and AHIA guidelines. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) preferred.
