Nurse Manager Emergency Department

A great urban hospital in the Washington, D.C. metro area is searching for a Nurse Manager Emergency Department. The Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department will work under the guidance of the Emergency Room Director, overseeing 90 full-time employees, and supervising both clinical and administrative duties.

The Nurse Manager Emergency will have the support of not only well-rounded Emergency Nurse Supervisors but also Charge Emergency RNs, and many experienced emergency nurses. The Nurse Manager Emergency Department will oversee a tight-knit and well-staffed unit that holds 20 emergency bays.  They will enjoy working for and with the ED Director, who previously held the manager role, and an upbeat, award-winning staff.

The Emergency Nurse Manager is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. Ability to coordinate multiple aspects of care at one time will be useful in this fast-paced facility. 

If you have your BSN along with seasoned RN Emergency Department leadership experience, this position is for you!  Those with an Emergency Charge Nurse or Emergency Supervisor background that can demonstrate strong leadership will also be considered.
