The Nurse Manager of Intensive Care Unit ICU will work under the direction of the Critical Care Nursing Director to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided for the ICU at the hospital. The Critical Care CCU Nurse Manager provides supervisory direction for the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, while maintaining operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. 

The ICU Intensive Care Unit Clinical Nurse Manager will contribute to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care Unit CCU will be the front line supervisor for assigning, building and directing teams to provide care to the patients assigned. 

The Clinical Nurse Manager of ICU Intensive Care Unit will collaborate with the nursing staff to meet the National Patient Safety Goals and Core Measure Initiatives especially those specific to Critical Care. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care Unit CCU will be proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership directives and initiatives.
