Within the 300 bed hospital, the Nurse Manager PACU will join the perioperative surgical services department to oversee the Post Anesthesia Care Unit PACU. The Nurse Manager PACU will manage a team of RN Supervisors, RN Charge Nurses, RN staff Nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager PACU include overseeing departmental operational workflow, managing the budget, developing quality performance improvement initiatives, ensuring state and federal compliance, and updating policy procedures.
The Nurse Manager PACU should be approachable, lead by example, able to clearly communicate goals and expectations, encourage a positive, healthy work environment and educate new-hires and current department staff on best practices and techniques. Ideally, the Nurse Manager PACU will have previous leadership experience and an active RN license.
