Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist CVICU CNS

A well regarded San Francisco Bay Area 350 bed Medical Center is seeking Clinical Nurse Specialist Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU to join their growing healthcare organization.

The PICU Clinical Nurse Specialist will report to the Nurse Director of Pediatric Intensive Care and collaborate with the Nurse Director Professional Practice and Education to ensure the clinical competence of all PICU nursing staff. Ideal candidates for PICU Clinical Nurse Specialist have excellent communication skills and can facilitate strong relationships across all levels of nursing management.

The Pediatric Critical Care CNS is a self-motivated role model and always looking for staff development opportunities. In order to ensure quality patient care, the Nursing CNS PICU will oversee quality improvement, safety and regulatory requirements and evaluate all education and training programs.

The Cardiovascular Critical Care CNS will also have the opportunity to conduct research and use their findings to develop new policies and procedures. The CNS Pediatric ICU will use evidence-based practices to develop new-hire orientation and continuing education programs.

The Pediatric ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist will work in a state of the art 22 bed Cardiovascular ICU and will also oversee the 25 Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, which seeing a variety of Transplant, Ventricular Assistive Devices, Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery and Cardiology Patients
