Virtual Health Services Director

A unique opportunity is available in the Western Texas area for the Hospital System Telehealth Services Director! This position will be full-time on-site at the hospital in Western Texas, and will offer room for career advancement to the experienced healthcare leader.

REQUIREMENTS: This role requires a Master’s Degree along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field. Five or more years of progressive acute care leadership experience is required. Previous experience with telehealth, telemedicine, and virtual health services is also required. 

Nice to have: Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS). 

The Virtual Health Services Director will join the team at the 300 bed short-term acute care hospital and designated Trauma Center. This advanced academic medical center offers a range of advanced medical services, including 24/7 Emergency Care, Cardiovascular Services, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery, Maternal Child Healthcare, and Primary Care Services. This award-winning and non-profit community hospital is known for providing excellent care to patients in the surrounding communities and beyond.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Clinic Services, the Virtual Health Services Informatics Director will become responsible for oversight and direction of the virtual health services program across the entire health system. The Telemedicine Services Director will manage daily operations, strategic planning, and human resources, functioning autonomously to ensure efficient program operation and delivery of high-quality services to patients and their family members. This role will be a full-time in-person position at the hospital.
