Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for providing successful oversight of project activities from kick-off to closeout for all assigned client projects. Serving as the primary contact between the client and ClinOne throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing project risks and issues, project profitability and timelines, maximization of Client goals with regards to trial awareness, contribute to the implementation of company-wide process improvements, and support internal and external governance. While primarily operating in a matrix environment, the Project Manager may have direct line management responsibility for contributing team members within the leveraged staffing model.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of moderately complex projects in accordance with established timelines, budget, quality standards, and contractual requirements through all project phases.
- Consult clients on best practice recommendations as informed by reporting, system knowledge and client goals.
- Drive adoption of systems by sponsors, sites, and patients through adaptive and consultative approaches to training, site initiation, and concierge services.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers on assigned projects and assume a consultative, collaborative orientation in all communications.
- Facilitate internal and client facing discussions, including kickoffs, User Acceptance Testing, project cadence meetings, and other meetings as required.
- Document and manage risks and issues via RAID logs and Project Health process, including independent management of client escalations from identification to resolution.
- Manage project budget and scope, ensuring adherence to financial terms and timely identification of changes in scope.
- Collaborate with teammates to balance resource assignments and priorities within matrix framework.
- Maintain data quality of project plans and documentation, including milestone dates, client approvals, and other critical to quality project assets.
- Responsible for vendor management and deliverables when in scope. This can include 3rd party services, licensing, quotes, payments, invoicing, and vendor management activities.
- Manage assigned staff inclusive of onboarding, daily work performance, and continued development.
- Manage financial risk to the business by monitoring and actioning past due A/R, reviewing and approving invoices, and managing scope of projects approved for work at risk.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Adhere to regulatory and process training timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or scientific field, Master’s preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a project management professional in the pharmaceutical or related fields
- Minimum of 1-2 years with an eClinical firm or CRO in a project management role preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading people, either as a direct manager or in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable taking a consultative approach and using curiosity to develop creative solutions
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and level of accuracy
- High degree of tact, judgment, and discretion
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience using project management tools
