CPS Work-Based Learning Consultant
Clinton Public Schools is looking for a consultant to help Clinton High School develop more community work-based learning opportunities. Additionally, the consultant will work to identify the skills necessary for students to be successful in their work-based learning opportunities in order to help develop and strengthen Perkins career pathways programs, Career Innovation Pathways programs, and transitional programming at Clinton High School.
The scope of work includes:
Determining Regional and Local Employment Needs
-North Central MassHire
-Clinton Economic Development Office
Determining Local Employment Opportunities and Specific Needs
-Meeting with local businesses to determine work-based learning opportunities, required skills, and contact information
Determining Vocational Educational Opportunities
-Meet with Clinton High School staff to determine current level of programming
-Mt. Wachusett to determine availability of vocational programming (Note: Existing Early College Partnership with MWCC)
-Vocational Schools in the region for Clinton enrollment opportunities
-Other High Schools with established Perkins/Career Innovation Pathways
Deliverables:
The deliverables for this project should include the following:
-A Summary of regional and local and employment needs including the skills required for each area
-Summary of local work-based learning opportunities including qualifications, restrictions, availability, and contact information
-Summary of local vocational education providers and opportunities including contact information for each provider and overviews of existing or possible programming
-Summary of current Perkins/Career Innovation programs in the area, including key components, and contact information for each program
-Recommendations for CHS programming and/or future scope of work
Timeline: April 2024 - June 30, 2024
Funding: This is a Grant Funded opportunity, responses should include a proposed timeline and cost proposal.
