POSITION TITLE: RETAIL COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT
REPORTS TO: FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Compliance Consultant is expected to understand all areas of our retail operations and execute audit processes on systems and procedures which support the retail operations in our C-Stores and Restaurants, including transaction monitoring, customer interactions, site cleanliness, safety/security, and local, State and Federal health and safety regulations. They report back to the Operations Team all findings and help develop action plans to correct deficient areas noted on audit.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform monthly Site Audits / Evaluations on all retail locations.
- Create monthly reports showing areas that were deficient and areas that showed improvement.
- Perform Health and Safety Audits, as directed.
- Show a willingness to help site-level staff when needed and assist at times of high traffic.
- Perform Cash Audits on retail sites, as directed.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs.
- Ability to travel as required within the district and region.
- Adhere to all Clipper, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
- Completes all training courses as directed.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree desired, or equivalent work experience.
Experience & Skills: A minimum of five (5) years in a restaurant or retail environment, experience in supervising and training staff. Ability to work with little supervision. Understands how to prioritize their day, week, and month to ensure all goals are met. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the retail sites when needed and operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions: C-Store / restaurant environment with some exposure to discomforting conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and noise from cooling units. Physical demands are moderately heavy, limited to lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and occasionally climbing ladders. Will be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
