Salvatore’s Tomato Pies was founded in Sun Prairie in 2011 by Patrick and Nichole DePula. They quickly built a reputation for crafting pizza like no other… Using old world techniques of slow fermenting dough from locally derived wheat, locally made cheeses and Wisconsin-raised meats.
Sourcing our ingredients from local farms and artisan craftspeople is important to us, and is a key to our award winning food. We have built a strong reputation serving our community as well. WHO YOU ARE:
Are you a creative Chef with a passion for scratch cooking Italian food in a fast paced elevated environment? You will work directly with our owners and operators, managing the daily operations of the restaurant and your kitchen staff efficiently and effectively. You will have the best local ingredients at your fingertips, from local producers, to create a farm to table dining experience for the community.
We are looking for someone with fine dining experience who is not afraid to elevate and experiment with a wide range of cuisines, while sticking to some of our award winning favorites.
JOB ROLES AND DUTIES:
- This is a hands on position with station work; creative collaborative menu planning; and shared supervisory responsibilities.
- The ideal candidate will lead the Culinary team together with the Owners/Executive Chef.
- Manage a team of up to 10 staff reporting up to you
- Oversee day-to-day culinary operations including hiring and training
- Coordinate food and kitchenware orders
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Assist in the development of menu items
- Standardize recipes and plate presentations
- Develop and maintain relationships with local producers
NECESSARY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of experience in fine dining and high volume establishments
- Previous experience with Pizza is a plus
- Previous management experience is required
- Culinary or Technical degree is preferred but not necessary
- ServSafe® Certification
- Experience in menu development and ordering
PAY & BENEFITS:
- Starting Pay is $50k-$55k
- Expectation is 45-50 Hours/Week (if fully staffed)
- Benefits Include: Health, Sick Pay, and PTO
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
