What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Store Manager position at Clothes Mentor Edina?
Major Area of Responsibility
1. Assist with buying, selling, pricing and merchandising by adhering to merchandising standards, evaluating market demands, adhering to buying plans, managing stock and sales levels, and meeting or exceeding store sales goals and purchasing goals.
2. Ensure merchandise receiving and ticketing occurs in a timely manner so that merchandise can be processed to the selling floor or online for sales. Maintain proper inventory levels of merchandise.
3. With direction from the Store Manager, follow the Master Clearance Schedule to ensure proper clearance of product.
4. Maintain merchandise and visual presentation standards on a daily basis.
5. Assist in the training of current and new staff.
6. Familiarize yourself and staff with product merchandise and brand names.
7. Promote and role model superior customer service to all customers, every day. Ensure that store associates understand and support the pursuit of superior customer services.
8. Maintain appropriate security procedures including POS opening and closing procedures.
9. Assist with social media tasks. Tasks can include, but is not limited to, uploading and tagging product, responding to customer inquiries, creating content posts, ‘lives’, ‘stories’, etc.
Qualifications
1. Post high school education preferred.
2. Must have open availability to meet the needs of the business, which includes, at minimum 2 weekends a month.
3. 1-year prior retail management experience or 2-4 years of prior retail sales experience preferably with strong leadership skills exhibited
4. Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial.
5. Proven customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
6. Sales and goal-oriented.
7. Must be computer literate.
Physical Requirements
1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
2. Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
3. Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
