Job Description

The Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications, including web-based systems and end-user application development. They will have a thorough understanding of programming techniques, web development, and system management tools.

Duties

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each module's features and their impact on other modules.
  • Analyze and understand how data flows through the system and apply that knowledge to the current business model.
  • Identify and define system errors and deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with other developers (e.g., software, application, web) to determine the best path solutions and manage priorities through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate testing and implementation of system patches and upgrades, leading a cross-functional team of power users.
  • Extract key business performance metrics.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to identify areas for increased efficiencies.
  • Create written user documentation, instructions, and procedures for training new employees and improving overall user proficiency.
  • Evaluate new technologies for potential implementation, including developing business justifications and project implementation planning.
  • Manage the network and related hardware, utilizing in-house or external resources, and promptly address and resolve help-desk tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in computers, peripheral devices, communications systems, programming languages, EDP applications, systems analysis methodology, data management, and retrieval techniques.
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in PC and/or OS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Experience with SQL, BI Tools.
  • Experience with EDW (Snowflake) platform.
  • Data Modeling Tool experience (e.g., Erwin).
  • 5 years of experience working with healthcare data and revenue cycle data models.
  • 7 years of experience in designing scalable enterprise data models.
  • 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data models for complex data warehouse initiatives.
