Overview:

We are seeking an Enterprise Architect for a project supporting the State of California. We are looking for someone who can also wear the hat of a Solutions Architect since the project is in a green field state. Knowledge and experience with EA standards (e.g., MITA, TOGAF, Zachman), and supporting the development of MVPs and an agile/iterative practice.

Job Duties:

• Define, implement, and execute an architecture approach and toolkit in for a pilot program
• Facilitate group discussion and discovery.
• Conduct capability assessment, analysis, and modeling.
• Create viewpoints, views, models, metadata, and relationships in the Architecture Repository.
• Develop key document reports in Sparx Enterprise Architect and dashboards/visualization in Prolaborate as MVP.
• Create models and graphical representations at varying levels to different types of audiences for maximum value and contextual understanding.
• Management recommendations (e.g., prioritization, trade-off analysis, business scenario analysis, etc.).

Deliverables:

• Experience with Enterprise Architecture
• Familiarity with ArchiMate annotation and modeling in this annotation.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks: MITA, TOGAF, Zachman.
• Communication, both verbal (e.g., presentations) and written (e.g., emails)
• Technical writing.
• Sparx Enterprise Architect and Prolaborate experience.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• The ability to assimilate/understand models and documentation from varying sources and leverage these artifacts in the completion of assigned work for continuity.
• Mindset of "Architecture for a Purpose" not "Architecture for the sake of Architecture."
