Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

This is a fully remote position, with all of your teammates working around the globe.

We are looking for you to:

• Maintain and advance your technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights.  
• Quickly learn and apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems.
• Have a strong understanding of DevOps tool chains, system administration of Linux, Windows, Cloud Services ( AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. )  as you are developing the next generation of DevOps and System administration tools. 
• Work well independently or with a team. 
• Be enthusiastic and openminded, and up to learn anything.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs.
• Understand overall technical requirements, priorities, and success measures to deliver features within architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with your sprint team, QA, and DevOps on technical issues and guidance. Participate in code reviews and best practices.
• Take into consideration scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and availability of all applications and processes.
• Aid in interpreting and translating business needs to technical requirements and estimates.
• Work with other departments and customers to understand the customer needs and user experiences and deliver beyond the customers expectations.
• Create a track record of delivery, trust and collaboration, resolving conflicts and blockers with creative problem-solving and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to work with team members from around the world.

Qualifications

• 5 years hands-on experience developing scalable, customer facing web and software applications, ideally in the cloud infrastructure space.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong hands-on experience working with Python and Django.  
• Strong understanding of Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with system administration of Linux and/or Windows.
• Experience with one of multiple cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud, etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills. 
• Strong practical experience building RESTful web services.
