Position Overview:

The Director of Delivery develops and executes strategies to scale delivery excellence across our growing Salesforce practice. The Director of Delivery impacts the way our team engages and provides transformational leadership across the board for all our or clients. Additionally, the Director of Delivery plays a significant role in creating meaningful work for our consultants. The Director of Delivery will play a significant role in taking the organization to the next level of performance and capabilities.

The Director will be a valued and critical member of the Sr. leadership team. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience developing and leading consulting practices and has successfully scaled the delivery department in the past. We are looking to double our delivery department by the end of the year!

There are several areas that the qualified candidate will be focusing on:

  • Resource Management
  • Delivery Team Management
  • Project Executive Oversight Key Accounts
  • Optimize internal teams with metrics
  • Client Relationship/Customer Satisfaction, and Leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Define team goals and metrics, and support team members in working to achieve them
  • Define resourcing requirements across your team (identify hiring needs, promotion opportunities, skill gaps, etc)
  • Demonstrated success delivering consulting and implementation services specifically for Salesforce implementation and consulting services
  • Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day direction for a team of direct reports on a project(s); handle the performance feedback and annual review processes for direct reports
  • Work with project managers to develop project timelines, tasks, and resource plans
  • Support recruitment, selection, staffing and onboarding of consultants to projects; assist in qualifying opportunities and work with people managers and consultants to assess project fit
  • Collaborate with project teams (solution lead, account owner, client success manager, and clients themselves) to address potential issues around scope, solutioning, and cost
  • Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team to innovate and achieve company objectives
  • Proactively work to improve our estimation and delivery processes
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, performance feedback and resources to associates
  • Know your team’s individual goals and communicate when they are falling behind or acknowledge when they are surpassing those goals
  • Resolve conflicts, be able to openly address them in a proper way so that both parties of the conflict know what the next steps are.
  • Be able to listen to their team and make the best decisions based off of the team’s feedback
  • Be a clear and consistent communicator with the team and leadership
  • Proactively sense and solve problems as they come
  • Oversee and enable meaningful processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of consulting experience in delivery leadership relative to iterative software development, ideally Salesforce
  • 5 years of experience leading groups of 50 individuals distributed nationally
  • 5 years of experience delivering business solutions on the Salesforce platform; demonstrated ability to speak to the delivery approaches and considerations for different sizes and scales of projects and clients across Salesforce clouds
  • Proficient with AppExchange and commonly used Salesforce apps
  • Excellent communicator who can easily understand business requirements and think on their feet
  • Experience with JIRA or any project management tool
  • Sharp individual, who is comfortable speaking to clients
  • Hard worker who can manage themselves, their own work, and deliver according to a set timeline
  • Quick learner who is easy to work with and can adapt easily in a startup culture
