What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Assistant position at Clough USA Inc?
Responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of craft payroll for the Next Wave Traveler Project. Responsible for ensuring accurate processing and payment of payroll, payroll related expenditure, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Main Duties / Responsibilities Develop and maintain a daily working relationship with all stakeholders, including Clough’s External payroll provider, employees, Business Units and Projects within Clough. Provide payroll provider with employee timesheet extracts, employee contracts, employee starter packs and human resource documentation to ensure the payroll provider is provided with all correspondence to correctly payroll our employees Ensure collected data is forwarded to the outsourced payroll provider to agreed timelines enabling payroll schedules to be reached. Liaise with Line Managers to ensure all timesheets have been submitted and approved within the specified timeframes. Check all new employee set up. Manage and resolve employee pay queries in a timely fashion, ensuring to escalate any issues with HR or payroll provider if applicable following the agreed business process for query management. Obtain payroll approvals in accordance with the delegation of authority. Upload payment files onto banking platform and follow up on approvals. Co-ordinate activities associated with employee payments (via ABA Banking File), superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax etc to ensure timelines and quality standards are consistently maintained. Liaise with Payroll provider to provide ad hoc reports as required. Review all payrolls prior to payment for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all payroll burdens are completed and paid on a timely and accurate basis. Work with HR team on employment contract and other payroll related matters. Responsible for the preparation, calculation and delivery of payrolls performed by Clough. In depth knowledge of payroll practices, tax withholding, superannuation legislation and Award regulations. Identify risk; escalate where necessary; demonstrate personal commitment to safety and wellbeing of people. Experience At least 2 years payroll experience Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a busy environment. Strong communication and customer service skills and exposure to a large team environment. Fluent in English/Spanish Preferred We are pioneers. We are passionate and diverse.
