CAD - Piping Designer

Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking an experienced CAD - Piping Designer to join our team at the Y12 facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree and 10 or more years of progressive, relevant education and experience in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), including developing P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). This role will involve the preparation of CAD design drawings, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs for the Lithium Processing Facility using Intergraph Smartplant software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Intergraph Smartplant software to prepare CAD design drawings, including PFDs and P&IDs for the Lithium Processing Facility at the Y12 facility.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop accurate and detailed drawings that meet project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in the development of CAD design drawings.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to accurately represent system designs.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to incorporate design changes and updates as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of design changes, revisions, and project progress.
• Participate in design reviews and meetings to provide input and support for project objectives.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards in all aspects of work.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 10 or more years of progressive, relevant education and experience in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD).
• Proficiency in Intergraph Smartplant software.
• Experience in developing P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) is required.
• Strong understanding of piping design principles, practices, and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in the nuclear industry, is a plus.
