Project Structure Manager

Clover Leaf is looking for a Project Structure Manager to join our growing team in Los Alamos, NM. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Laboratorys mission in a critical area of expertise. This is a full-time position based on-site, with potential travel between facilities. We are looking for candidates who can work as part of a team and individually.

Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of electrical safety, power quality, power monitoring, and critical power reliability/redundancy issues within nuclear facilities.

• Engineering Studies: Conduct engineering studies including short circuit, device coordination, equipment sizing, exterior lighting, fault current, and arc flash for medium and low voltage equipment.

• Collaboration: Work alongside junior engineers and other senior engineers in team settings to complete collaborative full-system design solutions through mentoring, calculations, and leadership.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and national codes and standards including IBC, NEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E.

• Project Management: Apply expert knowledge of engineering work, planning, construction, and control methods to manage projects effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering and 12 years of related experience.
• Recognized broad and/or unique expert knowledge of non-reactor/nuclear facility electrical engineering systems and calculations, applications of engineering methods, and computer-aided engineering tools.
• Expert knowledge of industry, regulatory, or national codes and standards including IBC, NEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E.
• Expertise in project and process engineering practices.

Additional Details:

• Location Type: On-site
• Assignment Duration: 2 years with possibility of extension
• Work Schedule: 9/80s and 4-10s at managers discretion
• On Call/OT: May require assistance on weekends when urgent
• Clearance: Uncleared initially, must obtain Q clearance during appointment period
• Software Knowledge: MS Office, Excel, Word, Vizio (Desired: MathCAD, AutoCAD, SKM)
• Certifications: Desired EIT Certification and/or PE Certification
• Physical Requirements: Walking upstairs and within facilities
