Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) is seeking a highly-skilled and innovative instructor to build a supportive environment for adult learners as they train for a career in machining and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with the program’s diverse student body. The successful candidate will work to eliminate equity gaps and help students succeed in their chosen career path and in what is an increasingly diverse work environment.
Well qualified applicants should be enthusiastic about continuously working to keep curriculum relevant, researching and implementing the latest automation technologies into the traditional machining workflow, to best prepare students for the dynamic careers that await them. Required skills include instructing Lean/TPS, manual machining, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, metrology, metallurgy and heat treatment. In addition to these fundamental skillsets. Successful applicants will possess the ability to work on a dynamic team that is innovating modalities and technical instruction in new directions such as technical applications of robotics, fixturing & workflows, and generative design, as well as human skills, creativity, and change-adaptability.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with other faculty in the School of Advanced Manufacturing and carry out functions related to the position as described below. The candidate will work collaboratively with advising and other student services to best support student success. Additionally, the successful candidate will work collaboratively as an active participant in our shared governance processes.

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington. Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders, and blueprint readers. Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation, and Trades.
