Plant Manager

Cloverleaf Creamery is seeking to fill a Plant Manager position at our dairy processing facility in Buhl, Idaho.

Key Responsibilities of the Plant Manager include:

• Reporting to the business owners, assist with planning milk production and scheduling, including adjustments as necessary.
• Provide overall plant leadership to direct reports and team members.
• Overall operation of all plant processing equipment, such as pasteurizers, homogenizers, separators, chart recorders, CIP systems, filling and packaging equipment and more.
• Daily set up and wash down of equipment.
• Working with other employees and business owners to complete projects and other tasks related to plant maintenance, cleanliness, production, etc.
• Regular and routine communication with owners to discuss production issues, challenges, adjustments, etc.
• Record keeping of production numbers, completed daily tasks, and maintenance of equipment
• Assist with production and packaging of ice cream as needed.
• Any other plant/production tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Dairy and/or food production/handling is preferred but not required. While we highly value experience we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Physical ability to work on foot and lift moderately.
• Attention to detail – our dairy manufacturing facility is not fully automated; as such, the plant manager will need to timely and accurately operate equipment in order to ensure smooth production schedules.
• Strong communication skills.
• A proactive nature – ability to foresee challenges and recommend solutions.
• Ability to give and receive feedback.
• A positive attitude and ability to work with others.
• Ability to act professionally and have fun.
• Leadership – ability to make decisions, communicate, delegate, inspire, motivate, and be a team player.
• Dependability – dairy processing is demanding work as the product is perishable. The role of the plant manager will require the candidate to be timely and reliable.

The salary range for this position is $35k-$45k annually depending upon experience. A benefits package including paid time off and health insurance will be provided. This position is full-time Monday-Friday.The successful applicant will provide a resume with references and will be interested in dairy production on a small scale working in Buhl,Idaho.
