What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Substitute Paraprofessional position at Cloverleaf Local Schools?
SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONAL
Building Substitute Paraprofessionals are scheduled 3-4 days per week, up to 7 hours per day, when school is in session. We are looking for several candidates to fill this role at our elementary school. Working as a building substitute provides candidates with a regular schedule that is easy to plan around, time off during school breaks, and the opportunity for hands on career development.
Are you excited about working for Cloverleaf Local Schools but uncertain which position is the best fit for you? Did you know that just like our substitute teaching positions, the school district has substitute bus drivers, food service helpers, secretaries, paraprofessionals, custodians and maintenance workers? Try them all out by becoming a classified substitute! Substitutes enjoy a flexible schedule, with the ability to accept or decline assignments, based on availability. Substituting is an excellent way to gain skills and experience working in a school district. It’s also a great way to get into the career pipeline for permanent positions as they become available.
Paraprofessionals have the opportunity to work directly with our wonderful Cloverleaf students. Paraprofessionals have diverse responsibilities, from monitoring our cafeterias and playgrounds, to working alongside teachers in the classroom, to working one-on-one with students with special needs. We couldn’t get through the school day without them! If you love working with children, becoming a substitute paraprofessional is an exciting opportunity.
